Lemonokipos (Lemon Tree Garden)

Near to the centre of Medieval city of Rethymnon, in the courtyard of an old Venetian mansion, you can find the Lemonokipos Restaurant.
The restaurant has a history of one century, from then that the grandfather of householder opened the first tavern back in 1910.
In 2000 the current householder Giorgos Portalios undertook the enterprise and created an astonishing place, giving accent in the sovereign Venetian characteristics and attending particularly the courtyard with the lemon trees.
The cuisine is based on the local Cretan tradition, given however with a modern cosmopolitan way.Here in Lemonokipos you will experience the pleasure of tasting old traditional recipes, based on the pure olive oil and the chosen products, but also modern flavours from the greek and international cuisine.
